He attended Paschal High School and then graduated from Subiaco Academy in Arkansas. He attended TCC for a couple of years and after that joined the Marines. After the marines and school, he settled down as a graphic artist specializing in presentations for about ten years. He worked in black and white and yearned to work in color. So, years ago he picked up a paint brush and has been hooked ever since. His paintings have been selected for the Firehouse Gallery in Fort Worth, his paintins were chosen for the Alzheimer Art Walk in Dallas, and his paintings can be seen in homes all across the DFW area.

Chris Thames is a self taught artist.  He does have a preference for painting celebrities. Chris celebrates the stars of movie, sport, and television in his one of kind original paintings.
